The RISC Table View |
|
If the search finds more than one matching contact, the RISC Table View is displayed. This spreadsheet-like display shows base details of each matching contact in reverse-chronological order (newest to oldest). The above Table View is, in this case, Phillip Brown's RISC record. As you can see, it contains more information than the Quick History and can show thousands of matching records to the selected search criteria. Using the buttons at the bottom of the table, the list can be sorted into alphabetical order, and/or the table can be printed. Using the Export button, you can export any or all of the RISC data fields for all of the contacts shown in the Table View and you can mail merge a form letter to each parent of students shown in the table view (these will be demonstrated later). You can also append the results of subsequent searches to the current table view to have say all of the contacts regarding Year 8 appended to the results of a search for Year 7 contacts. The Options menu above contains this feature. Another feature in the Options menu is the ability to print a Student Record Report. By searching for one student's contacts and having them displayed in the Table View, a Student Record Report can be quickly produced with the full details of each contact printed in a neat report, three per page. Using this function, Phillip Brown's record can be printed to a single, neat report containing full details of each entry and handed to parents. Now, Phillip's record is getting a little long. Maybe it's time to send a personalised letter home to his parents to see what can be done about his behaviour. Let's take a look at the RISC Form Letters Module! We'll come back to this Table View later... |
