WHAT's NEW in RISC v9? |

Signing into RISC v9 - Password Security Levels |
|
If you have set passwords in the RISC Admin Preferences screen, then you will need to enter a password simply to open RISC. This is an additional security measure implemented in the case that a student gets hold of a teacher's network logon details. Without knowing a password for RISC, they will not be able to open it to access sensitive and private information about fellow students. The person that administers RISC at your school (the RISC Administrator) would allocate the appropriate password to each individual staff member. Some staff may only READ/VIEW the data in RISC, but not change anything (Viewers). Others have the ability to edit records, but not delete them nor create form letters (Editors). Certain staff can also view contact records that are marked confidential (Executive), while the RISC Administrator(s) can do all administrative functions of RISC (except view confidential records - for those, they will need to enter the Executive password). Now let's take a look at RISC Student Alerts and Levels in action. |
