More of the RISC Form Letter Mask

NEXT

You can see in the letter that the {Contact Action} field has been inserted and we've typed up some more and finished off the form letter mask.  Notice that the {Contact Action} field has been set as blue italics.  This means that when the data is merged from RISC that it will take on the text attributes of the field name it is replacing.  Therefore, the actual contact action information in RISC will show in blue italics - all of it.  We could have decided to have it shown in a different font, as green and underlined if we wanted to.

We can also add a parent return slip at the bottom of the form letter (or on the next page), to prompt parents that they need to respond or acknowledge the letter.  If you include the {Contact Number} data field on the parent slip, then when they send it back, you'll know exactly which RISC Contact record it is referring to and you can update the record as required.

We hope that this has demonstrated how EASY it is to create a form letter for RISC.  It may be hard to believe, but it is actually MUCH EASIER to create a form letter using RISC and MS Word than creating a form letter in MS Word alone or with MS Word and Excel!

We've now Saved our form letter using the Save Doc button in the RISC Toolbox and are ready to close Word and try merging a form letter from RISC.
