The Marillion Designer is a web-based newsletter featuring
useful information
for users of our Register of Individual Student Contact (RISC) software. If
you are a user of RISC, you should read these pages to get a better understanding
of the program and to find out how other schools are using it.
The latest version of RISC is v7.4
(released May 2007). Users of earlier versions of RISC can get this
upgrade at a discounted price. Check the Order section of our site to
find out how to get RISC v7.0 today! The new release includes new features
such as a RISC PhotoCapture!, RISC MailMerge Wizard, extra fields
imported from your school administration system and a new additional
user-defined lookup field. It's well worth the small upgrade price.
- You probably already know, but RISC allows for up to
200 different form letter masks to be created and used. While there is a small number of sample form letters supplied with RISC,
hundreds more have been created by our users. With the development of our website, an opportunity has emerged for schools to
submit their customised form letters for other schools to share. Come visit the
Form Letter Market!
- Most users mainly use RISC to help them track Students
at-Risk and School Discipline matters. But did you know that with your school-wide
license, you can run separate copies of RISC to track merit and commendations as well?
Find out how.
- There are numerous web cameras that
will work with the RISC PhotoCapture! utility for taking photos of
students and automatically linking them to each student's record.
Here are a few different models you
might like to look at from your hardware vendor.
